22nd Henderson Festival 18JUN16

OPPS, LEFT AS DRAFT, OH WELL, might as well publish!

Attended recent Henderson Festival, saw some great musicians and a lot of beatiful Guitars. Brought two recent guitars, sold on (Figured Mahogany Dred). I most enjoy the Guitar Competition, 20 great players. Top two were Presley Barker 2nd (11 yrs old, real prodigy), and 1st place to Eric Hardin of W Jefferson, NC. He took home a beautiful Henderson Dreadnought Guitar! Back in the shop again cutting bracing and starting a new D18 Style. Brazilian D28 style dred will be cured next week for sanding / buffing / assembly! Look for that soon.

Whats happening in shop this summer

I recently finished up a Brazilian Rosewood Dreadnought that came out very good for finish, sound, balance and playability, just added to Website.

Presently working on a fairly traditional D18 style except that Scallop fwd bracing is applied, fit up neck and will be staining and pore filling this next week of 22AUG16. Once final shot, I cure out for about 3 weeks before assembly, so late SEP should be available.

Edwin joined me in my shop with the Animal Planet […]
